American High Style
Last night, I went to the opening of the American High Style exhibit at the Brooklyn Museum. The highlight for me was, by far, getting up-close and personal with real, live Elsa Schiaparelli pieces. Schiaparelli is one of my all-time-favorite artists and fashion designers, being one of the only women who worked with the Dada and surrealist artists, (you know the shoe hat? That's her). Her work is beautiful and timeless, and if it were up to me, I would've walked right out of the museum with the butterfly parasol and gown.
