Burberry Prorsum, London Fashion Week, Spring Summer 2011

Among all the shows I attended during London Fashion Week, Burberry Prorsum was definitely the most highly anticipated - not to mention the one which left people most impressed ! The setting was beautiful, nestled in the heart of Chelsea College of Art & Design...(Ahem, brick buildings surrounded by lush gardens? Be still my heart.)

The set was also beautiful, with Burberry's signature tartan print projected onto the walls and created by tinted cut mirrors on the back wall. Even the lattice pattern created by the chairs were evocative of the brand.

The many layers of mirrors created a beautiful multi-dimensionality.

I absolutely loved how the the show was projected on either side of the venue, it gave another chance for spectators to view the pieces from different angle, with strong attention to details

Studded motorcycle jackets, leopard and cheetah prints, harness details

Superfluous belting, perfectly tailored leather, purple animal prints

Confetti came streaming down from the ceiling during the finale
