tomorrow i leave for london. though i'll be there for personal/family reasons, i'm hoping i'll get some time to enjoy the city and some of my favorite london and activities. i love strolling the streets of east london and shoreditch&hackney, browsing the harvey-nichols windows, buying sweets from the tiny laduree shop on picadilly, going to tatty devine in soho, visiting the bricklane upmarket on sundays and checking out the local crafts, and walking around late at night with my camera.

i was both surprised and pleased when i saw that fellow 2008-parsons alums haley boyd & catherine chen teamed up to start their shoe company, marais usa. their mission was to create simple, good-looking shoes at affordable prices- and i think they've brilliantly succeeded. the shoes range from $50-70, and come in punchy, vibrant colors, and they currently offer 5 different styles, in patent leather and suede. i snatched up a pair of the peep toes in cobalt.
