dwr "champaign chairs"
in the spirit of new years eve, the most popular drinking day of the year, that is just around the corner, i'd like to share this: dwr's annual (since 2002) champaign chair competition. design within reach asks participants to create a miniature chair with materials from a maximum of 2 champagne bottles, excluding the glass. i love how creative and inventive some of the submissions are, i feel so inspired to repurpose some of my useless junk into new useless, but attractive, junk. what would you do with the materials? if you come up with something awesome, you could win an emeco chair.
