I was very excited to be invited to the opening of New York City's first Ladurée, one of my favorite French institutions and purveyor of the macaron! Once something I longed for when visiting my favorite European cities (Paris, of course, and London), it's exciting (and a little scary) to think there's now a world of perfect pastel colored pastries just a train ride away. Really, whoever had the idea of opening Ladurée barely a week before the start of New York Fashion Week had something mischievous up their sleeve!
