M. Patmos | NYFW Fall Winter 2011

Last night, Marcia Patmos presented her Fall Winter 2011 collection for M. Patmos in a tented loft space in Manhattan's Meatpacking District. The event was intimate and cozy, with a classical guitar player softly strumming in the far corner of the space, and young, glowing models wearing some of the lust worthy knits and furs from the collection, which drew inspiration from Moroccan Travelers and Marcia's 1970's icons. The collection boasts luxurious sweaters and separates, with innovative features like detachable sleeves that offer much of the versatility that consumers are demanding from designers today. The textures are rich and covetable: double-sided coyote furs and thick cable knits in nudes, mauves, and sage provide depth to fall and winter staples. Other pieces like fringed scarves and thick cardigans are sure to land on wish-lists for both their ease and comfort and beauty - i.e. mine. Last night was a particularly frigid night in NYC, and it was hard to resist lifting those scarves and sweaters right off the models bodies!

M. Patmos was launched by Marcia Patmos after 10 successful years as one half of LUTZ & PATMOS, and this year, she was also a recipient of the Ecco Domani Fashion Foundation award. M. Patmos has already developed quite the cult following, and promises to continue to grow with its modern, versatile, and innovative aesthetic.

Special thanks to the lovely ladies at Siren PR.
