Shaking Things Up with Lafayette 148 New York

A few months ago, I was approached by Lafayette 148 New York and my friends at Siren, their PR firm, about an exciting new endeavor where they planned to enlist the help of three different bloggers, of all different shapes and sizes, to offer their spin and approach on the classic, luxury brand. Lafayette 148 New York is a brand I get to work with a lot at Marie Claire, and I generally pine over the supple leathers, sensuous fabrics, and classic cuts throughout their collections. The line is filled with big-ticket items that are beyond wishlist worthy, (the leather pencil skirt, in particular, is something I'm dying to invest in!) As the plus-size industry continues to grow and evolve, it's great to see a wide variety of options out there - and alongside my favorite fast-fashion destinations, I'm happy that there are options to invest in higher quality pieces, too!
