Spring Break in Texas
I had the tremendous honor of returning to Austin for SxSW again last weekend, to be part of meaningful conversations on Disruption through Diversity & Data and also at Create & Cultivate to speak about Women-lead Entrepreneurship. Besides being an amazing three days where I got to connect with so many incredibly women I admire and inspire me every day, the long-weekend trip was a very welcome escape from the cold in both New York and Los Angeles. I couldn't get enough of the warmer days, chance to have my legs bare, and sit outside for dinner -- especially once clocks moved forward on Sunday!Between the amazing panels and dinner at Austin's famed sushi spot, Uchi (seriously - one of the BEST and most memorable meals I've ever had!), I got to step out and walk around downtown in this cute floral number and suede-like lilac jacket from Old Navy. I also wore these heels (which are under $30!) on repeat all weekend. The jacket is on the longer side - making it the perfect layering piece for this transitional winter-to-spring time. It's so soft and cozy, and because it's faux suede, it's surprisingly lightweight. And the dress is basically like pajamas... so comfortable and easy, with a cute white and yellow floral pattern. Florals can be pretty hit-or-miss, for me, but I love the scale of these and the colors.Have you guys visited Austin? It had me looking at my calendar (and lots of maps!) to plan another quick, warm-weather getaway!
