Spring in the City

i'm falling in love with nyc again as the weather gets nicer. it was beautiful out today. i didn't even need to wear my coat. i'm pretty sure more or less every parent in manhattan took their child out today, and thank god for that. the kids need sun! plus, it brings me a lot of joy to see children around. it's easy to feel, at times, like all of new york is working. it's very humbling (in a weird way) to have a reminder that families exist here; that there are people who do more than climb up the job ladder. i think that's why i've gone out of my way to accommodate teaching/tutoring in my schedule since i've been here. I spent the rest of the afternoon, after a group meeting today, walking around my neighborhood taking pictures.
