Most days start with a clothing item begging to be worn (a striped midi skirt, a pair of leopard flats, or, in case of today, a lilac satchel). Once I've become fixated on that lilac satchel, my mind turns into something like that amazing software Cher Horowitz had in 1995 (and yet there's STILL not an app for that?!) and not long after I end up looking sort of like a cupcake (equally saccharine, and just as twee). There are few times of the year where it feels completely appropriate to dress like a liberally frosted baked good (this is one incredibly verbose way of saying "cupcake"), but the spring time is certainly one of those times, even if the warmth continues to elude us here in the Northeast. Other times include bake sales, halloween, baby showers, and Wednesdays. If I can't eat pastries all the time (only because of my gluten sensitivity, guys, really), I sure as hell am going to do my best to look like one, at least on this Wednesday. Cause, you know, on Wednesdays We Wear Pink.
