{STYLE} Wardrobe Refresh with Gwynnie Bee

I'm taking my second ride around the merry-go-round with Gwynnie Bee, and I'm loving this look even more than the last one. Dark colors are really my comfort zone (I know, I keep exasperating on this - but it's true; my blog is basically like a personal challenge against myself), so throwing on a bright, flouncy skirt that I can twirl around with is so ridiculously fun and refreshing. Oops, my lipstick got smudged.

The classic, but bold vertical stripe was a perfect balance to the skirt - and while pattern on pattern may be en vogue, I still think they look best paired smartly with solids, so why not go for a great color? I anchored the look with neutral accessories - and while the clothes are on loan from Gwynnie Bee, there's a part of me that just wants to hold onto them forever!

In case you missed the previous post, Gwynnie Bee is a new service that specializes in "renting" out clothes in curvy and plus sizes - from a size 10 to a size 32. Their growing roster of designers and widening array of styles means there's something for nearly everyone and nearly every occasion, from office wear to wedding guest attire to a super "wow" factor piece when you need to dress to impress; (um, I realized my 10 year high school reunion is just a year away.... no thanks).

As the virtual closet on Gwynnie Bee expands, so too does my interest in trying new things. New designer Jaime, BB Dakota's plus-size range, is live on the site - and while it's no-committal, I'm dying to try some styles on! And, as fall approaches, I think I'll be feeling in lots of holes in transitional dressing - adding layering pieces (in fun patterns like leopard print, to boot) to my wardrobe one by one... Um, hello, do you see these great moto jackets below, too?!

Finally, after chatting with the Gwynnie Bee team to get some intel on some of your questions and comments, I wanted to address some of the most common concerns.

Joyous Johns asked: I really like the idea of Gwynnie Bee, but found that they often didn't have my size in ANYTHING in my closet for weeks at a time. It's also hard to get a certain item for an event or occasion.
After chatting a bit with team GB about this, they acknowledged that it is indeed something they have experienced with older items on the site. However, as they add new pieces each week, they're offering deeper selections of each item, and in each size. The more time that passes and the more Gwynnie Bee grows, the less likely this will be an issue.

Caitlin asked: Do you know if  GB ships to APO/FPO addresses?
At the moment, Gwynnie Bee is only set up to ship to the continental US. They plan to expand their operations, though, so fingers crossed!

Afi asked: What if you try a piece and love it? Do you have the option to buy at a reduced price?
It's an option that is exclusively available to members as a part of the benefit of subscription. Since it's a Try then Buy program, it works like this...... If you receive it via your subscription, fall in love with and can't bear to send it back, request a price from us, approve the price and you can keep it all for yourself!
