There are few things that make me more excited, both as a consumer and an editor, than a new brand or collaboration launching! Yesterday, the much anticipated Who What Wear x Target collab dropped online and in select stores across the country. Of Target's many collaborations over the years, this is one that I've been most excited about -- in part because it's inclusive of plus-sizes from the jump, but mostly because it's a gift that will keep on giving -- with new deliveries arriving each month for the next couple of years, (you can shop the whole collection here).Because the looks are inspired by of-the-moment pieces trending in the fashion world, they're perfect as I start planning out looks for the upcoming fashion week. There's often a lot of pressure to churn out new, exciting looks - and while I love incorporating some statement-making pieces into my NYFW wardrobe, I'm mostly there to work, so having access to of budget-friendly wares that won't kill my wallet is pretty exciting. Wearing vibrant color combinations (this blue-and-marigold print is perfect), or an interesting silhouette (asymmetric, fluted-hem, anyone?) is a one of my favorite ways to look chic without looking like I'm trying too hard (I hope!); and it's all about balance, so while print-on-print-on-print can be awesome, I'm much more likely to pair my bold prints with a fantastic solid, and pick up on the color palette of my prints to accessorize and finish the look.
