Anya's London Cruise

You may have noticed that I sometimes use my blog as a little bit of a replacement-Priest sounding-board, so now, confession time: I have a bit of an addiction to Net-a-Porter, a site that let's me pretend, for just a minute, that I can buy some of the runway pieces I lust after and fantasize about wearing on make-believe walks through uptown Manhattan while walking my pug and/or french bulldog puppy, and spending several leisurely hours perusing art. Sometimes I even go "fantasy shopping" and add all the Burberry Prorsum, Alexander McQueen, Miu Miu, and Lanvin pieces that I love to my cart... Just for fun. Someone please tell me they do this, too. Please.

In my recent visits to their new arrivals section, I found my mouse gravitating towards the little bits of Anya Hindmarch's spring collection that are finally making their way into frenzied fashion-loving hands, and not surprisingly, I wish they'd land in mine, too.

In my last trip to London, I had the pleasure of previewing Anya's collection, but never had the opportunity to share. Now seems to be the perfect time, with the cold starting to get to my core and sending me into a full-on spring fling.

One of my top three pieces from the collection, I think it's actually tied for number 1 along with the turquoise stingray clutch. I absolutely love the structure of this bag, along with the enameled hardware.

Love the clever organizational systems in these bags.

How gorgeous are these? I can't get over this luscious blue color.

Another favorite from this collection. I'm not typically one to be attracted to exotics, but I absolutely love this bright turquoise stingray and the gorgeous, art-deco style hardware.

The round-out to my top three. This clutch is amazing, and also available in black and silver. Though.. maybe this is sort of a predictable pick for me, given my fondness for glittery things (1 & 2, etc...)

Having a background in brand design, I was thoroughly impressed with the way that the collection was materialized in every piece of the collection's presentation, from the design of the actual accessories to the venue, to details like this gorgeous sailboat in a glass bottle.

I was thrilled to not only get a sneak peak at the collection and feel all the amazing materials, but also walk away with little bits of the fun and whimsy the A.H. team put into the presentation!
