Christian Dior Spring 2011 Couture

I cannot, cannot even begin to articulate why and how much I'm HEAD OVER HEELS in love with the Christian Dior couture collection that came down a Parisian runway today. The collection is so Stepford Wife gone to the dark, dominating side of the Femme Fatale that I'm literally swooning over every single look. Or, maybe as Austin says, "It's like that movie Far from Heaven, but on fancy crack." Please, John Galliano, allow me to Vogue on the streets of the Marais or have a ridiculous tea party at Versaille in an American mid-twentieth-century vision of a grown-up Alice in Wonderland. The red and black pieces are so intensely moody and sexy, and I feel it's worth mentioning that I am not usually drawn to red! Like, genuinely sexy in a way that really, really speaks to me. I'm not going to continue to pontificate on the meanings of this collection because I'm pretty sure I won't do it any justice - so I'll just let the clothes speak for themselves.
