I left my heart in San Francisco

[DAY ONE]

I got into San Francisco late on Wednesday evening, and headed straight to my friend Marc's apartment in Hayes Valley. We took a walk around the neighborhood and had a bite at Absinthe.

The following morning, I walked from his home to the mission. I love all the little architectural details that are intrinsically San Franciscan.

My first destination for the day was Tartine Bakery... of course.

It's hard to make choices at Tartine because everything looks so delicious, smells incredible, and is freshly baked just moments before it is brought to the counter.

Tartine is especially famous for this lovely piece of doughy deliciousness, the Morning Bun. The Morning Bun is a much, much more delicious cousin of a cinnamon bun. It is glazed in citrus and topped with sugar. It's perfect!

Post brunch, I continued meandering the city by myself.

The day concluded with dinner at Foreign Cinema and drinks at The Lex, a queer bar in the mission.

Tartine Bakery | 600 Guerrero Street, at 18th Street
Foreign Cinema | 2534 Mission Street, at 21st Street
The Lex | 3464 19th Street, at Valencia
