While I was a little letdown with the overdose of ruffles and macramé toilet paper (sorry, MJ, I still love you) that was the Marc Jacobs Collection runway show presented on Monday, Marc’s little sister line brought bright colors and fun combinations of stripes, polka dots, and metallics. that have me a little excited – if for no other reason, because it’s one of the few collections at fashion week that is actually accessible to me.
The perky, oversized bows wrapped atop the models’ heads were like less intimidating, more wearable versions of the Louis Vuitton bunny ears that Jacobs designed for the LV Fall 2009 collections.
And this royal blue dress? Might be my “birthday dress” next April. I can see it… hopefully my waistline can, too.
