{STYLE} Bargain Hunter

Being that I love luxury goods and designer crafts, I'm always on the lookout for a great bargain: a promo code, a friends & family or anniversary sale, or the coveted eBay find. My bargain hunting best-ofs have outfitted a veritable closet-of-fame. My most recent Kate Spade clutch was already on sale when the Friends & Family sale came around, making it an additional 30% off. An Anna Sui dress that I lusted after from the moment it hit the runway was ultimately in my hands for $60 in an after-Christmas sale. My beloved, genuine-leather motorcycle jacket was marked down to $40 when I snapped it up. I have a simple guiding principle that if it's meant to be, it will be - somehow.

Occasionally, there's the one that got away -- the wishlist item that turns to obsession and just slips out of reach all too quickly. They're usually over-the-top statement pieces that can't just be replaced or substituted by something that can only ever feel like a compromise, while you're still longing and thinking about the one. There was the metallic Alexander Wang satchel. The crystal-embellished Shorouk clutch that I first laid my eyes on in the fashion closet at Marie Claire. The Karen Walker sunglasses I spied on Kelly Osbourne (I am not-so-secretly obsessed with her style... Don't be surprised if my newly blonde locks are pastel in no-time at all).

My sci-fi obsessions took me to hunt down the items I'd been craving - the Siouxsies, the metallic satchel... And guess what? eBay. I went there and I bought-it-now.

eBay recently launched a new platform called Collections (mine run the gamut from "Pretty Kitty" filled with everything from the kitten flats to quirky cat-covered phone cases, to "Boudoir Looks" with my favorite lingerie finds, to "Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me" with all the kitschy-lip prints that manage to always steal my heart. It's a fun way to track my own personal obsessions and curate my inspiration in a real, buyable way; even if the items in my Collections sell out, eBay scours the site for similar products to satisfy my impulse shopping. You can follow all of my collections here! And if you've started curating your own, please link them below so I can check yours out and follow them, too.

My eBayCollections were curated as part of my collaboration with eBay.
