{STYLE} Blue Jean Baby
Let me get one thing out of the way: I hate, abhor, loathe, etc. jeans and trousers in general. Garments of the bi-legged variety just aren't my bag. They seemingly never fit right, they make me feel like a disproportionate mutant, and generally make me sort of hate myself. Being that I'm otherwise a fairly confident girl, I tend to avoid these problematic pieces all together and stick to what I know and what makes me feel best.
I so badly want to don the Jeans-and-a-T-Shirt look and look easy breezy cool, but what should be effortless tends to end up looking somewhat... sloppy. Only because the fit is never quite right - until I tried on a pair that really, really surprised me. Continue...

As part of my collaboration with Wet Seal, I was asked to try out a few outfits on my own and style them my way, (after all, high-low is one of my ultimate weaknesses). Seeing as this was a relatively low risk venture, I wanted to try on what looked like a super cute pair of light-washed jeans - with all the requisite distressing. I mean, this is basically a safe zone to try something new, right? So, I went for it.
I was impressed by how soft they were and that they felt like real denim! Not just denim-colored leggings. And that they fit. They fit really, really, really well. Is this real life? I didn't even have to tailor them? I sort of can't wait until fall really settles in (I know it's September, blah blah, it's way too hot for me to say it's fall) - to wear them with a slouchy white tee and my amazing new moto jacket.
Does anyone else have a pants phobia? Or is it just me?!
This is part of a collaboration with Wet Seal+, which has launched their plus size collection in 35 locations nationwide!
