Teddy Bear Coat
It's hard to be thinking about coats after a string of 90-degree days in LA, but packing my bags for a trip back to New York at the end of this week (where the temperatures will get down to a positively balmy 60-degrees) means I'm looking forward to layering up again. Coats and jackets are my favorite form of statement clothing - I love using a great piece of outerwear to finish a look, and it's something I absolutely picked up as part of my style signature when I moved to the East Coast for college. So when I spotted this teddy bear coat at Nordstrom, I knew it had to be mine.I'm not going to lie: the first thing I did when I decided I needed a teddy bear coat in my arsenal was google photos of Kim Kardashian in her Max Mara teddy bear number. It became one of her signature pieces, so I knew there would be a lot of great inspiration on how to wear something that was so outside of my usual style. One version that particularly stood out among Kim K's street style paparazzi pics? A nude top, nude pumps, and simple, sleek denim. It was easy enough to play copy-cat, and even though it is definitely outside of my black-white-pink default, it's a look I feel super comfortable and confident in; it doesn't hurt to be channeling the wardrobe of someone who exudes confidence and sexiness throughout their personal style.
Teddy Bear Coat*, Sejour Nude Tank (ridiculously soft!), Kate Spade Camel Pumps, NYDJ Denim all via Nordstrom, Mansur Gavriel Bag in "Sand", Lulu Frost Bracelet
*Fit Note: Coat runs very large to size. I wish they had a size smaller, but on the plus side it's extra snuggly!
