In and Around My Home

I feel like I haven't posted anything in ages, but a relentless stomach flu, broken 5D (it's been sent away to Canon for mending), and otherwise busy life has kept me away. But in any case, because of my little bout of illness, the place I've spent the most time lately has been my home - so that's where I will take you. (Psst, this seems like a good opportunity to mention that "The September Issue" is on Netflix Instant.)

This wall is a constant work-in-progress, but it has slowly been coming together with a mix of sentimental images, found objects, LPs, and illustrations. My favorite picture, by far, is one of my parents on their wedding day. For most of this photos life, it had lived at my late grandmothers house.

Various (and highly unrelated) objects sit on top of my bookshelf.

My favorite shoes, the guitar I received as a gift from an SO, and a garland and homemade pennant banner hanging above my dining table.

In my kitchen. These canisters are no longer produced, but I managed to find a matching utensils and cake tin across the globe after scouring the internet.

I think my fondness for tea is completely hereditary. Both cultures I inherited (English and Iranian) take their tea very seriously.

The top of the wardrobe in my bedroom; mostly a mess of perfume, jewelry, and candles.

A new piece to be added up there! I was gifted this necklace today by one of my best friends, Jordan. She made the necklace using antique pieces.

One of my most recent home purchases is this branch table from West Elm. From the top, it looks like a tree trunk. And next to it is one of my absolutely favorite things in my home: a 6.5" tall mirror.

Lilykins!

That's all for now. So long!
